Integrative Physiotherapy
About Integrative Physiotherapy
With its origins in the medical field, physiotherapy is a non-invasive healthcare profession specializing in treating individuals with musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary and vestibular dysfunctions.
Physiotherapy is a safe and effective means for resolving pain, recovering from injury, and improving daily and performance function.
It is a tailored therapy suitable for individuals across the lifespan.
Our physiotherapists are masters degree qualified, registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulatory Association (AHPRA) and have additional international certificates and training.

The Process
The integrative recovery journey begins with an initial conversation where the physiotherapist conducts a comprehensive health history.
Next, a physical examination and movement competency test is performed. Referral for imaging may be necessary to understand the problem further.
The physiotherapist then identifies the priority problems and ensures that serious health problems are not contributing.
To us, our patients must understand the core of their health problems. This is so that they can make informed decisions about their health and take responsibility to resolve them.
We take our time to identify and explain the key health issues.
Once the key problems are identified, an individualized recovery plan is created.
We take our time to identify and explain the underlying health issues clearly.
During Your Appointment
Your preferences, the therapist's experience and the best available research are taken into account when deciding what components are included in the recovery plan.
The initial appointment often includes proactive manual and exercise therapy techniques. The aim is to improve the stabilization strategies the body uses, balance the body’s energies, and improve joint/tissue mobility and circulation.
Following the initial consultation, the goal of subsequent appointments is to achieve the outcomes set in the recovery plan.
Subsequent appointments involve re-assessment, progression and implementation of the recovery plan. The overarching aim is for the patient to move towards pain-free function.
The entire process is fluid, involving re-assessment and refinement.
